In the Public Sector, I previously served as regional legal counsel for a statewide public sector labor union in five counties in PA advocating on its behalf before local agencies, labor arbitrators, PLRB and every level of the State and Federal Courts of PA, developing appellate case law, and as special labor counsel to public sector employees, and as general counsel to a statewide labor organization of court-appointed professional employees (probation officers) of the County Court systems throughout PA.
In the Private Sector, I represented Management before labor arbitrators, the NLRB and the federal court system.
Routinely negotiated collective bargaining agreements for both public labor unions and for management in the private sector to include participation in interest arbitrations.
Served as Course Planner and Faculty Member of the Pennsylvania Bar Institute of the PBA.
Served as the President and Board Chair of the Pittsburgh Mediation Center of Pittsburgh.
Active Board Member of The Salvation Army of Western PA and its Chair for four years with continuing membership on the Board; active Board Member of Brother’s Brother Foundation and serving as chair of the strategic planning committee with continuing membership on the Board.
Throughout these years of service, acceptable to both Labor and Management. I was selected to hear and decide labor arbitration cases before I ceased serving as an advocate.
No longer an advocate in the labor relations field.
